Most of the functions of the Board are contained in the Corrections Act 1986 ( opens in a new window). WebbThe Crimes (Sentence Administration) Act 2005 (CSA Act) governs the making of parole orders (Chapter 7). It requires offenders to apply to the Board, in writing, and for the Board to decide if they should be released on parole.
